Taxis on Alonissos

With public transport on the island being available only during the summer months taking a taxi is the main form of transport for visitors in the winter, unless you hire a car or scooter.  The taxi rank is opposite the Alkyon Hotel on the end of the harbour.  Taxis wait there during the summer months and out of season just phone one of the mobile phone numbers and a taxi will come out to collect you.

Patitiri harbour to the Old Town takes about 5 minutes by taxi and costs around 7 euro.  For early morning journeys or at public holidays you may pay twice this amount for the same journey.  You can also use the taxis to take you to far off island destinations such as Votsi, Steni Vala and Milia beach which are accessible via tarmac roads.  If you need a taxi the land line and mobile phone numbers for the taxi drivers on Alonissos are shown below.  The taxi drivers business cards are shown at the bottom of the page.
