Oxi Day - 28th October 2015

Dave went down to the Dimos offices around 10.30am.  The religious ceremony and the laying of wreaths had finished and a large crowd was gathered around the war memorial listening to details of the background to Oxi Day being read.  After the ceremony ended the children went off to get into the groups for the march passed and we all took positions along the route to watch and applaud the children marching passed.

The marching was led by the children from the infant's school first with the Greek flag, followed by children from the lower and upper schools by year group and then ending with the Scouts.  Each group were enthusiastically applauded as they went passed and all were obviously very proud to be part of the Ohi Day celebration.
